There is something about... Ines de la Fressange

Women are like wine - some turn to vinegar, but the best improve with age

Inès de La Fressange (born 11 August 1957), is a French model. She was named to the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1998.
Tall 180 cm (5'11") and with a weight of 50 kg (110 lbs), in the 1980s, she became the first model to sign an exclusive modeling contract with an haute couture fashion house, Chanel, by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, whose muse she became. However, in 1989, Lagerfeld and De la Fressange had an argument and parted company. Likely this argument was, at least in part, regarding her decision to lend her likeness to a bust of Marianne, the ubiquitous symbol of the French Republic. Lagerfeld reputedly condemned her decision, saying that Marianne was the embodiment of "everything that is boring, bourgeois, and provincial" and that he would not dress up historic monuments. They reunited as she walked the Chanel spring summer 2011 show. (Source)

Parisian Chic

Recently I've been obsessing about everything French ....but especially about French women - their style, attitude and the way of life in general.  There is something so different about them but it is simply impossible to identify what is so unique ... maybe this is it  - this enigmatic feature "изюминка" or the X-factor is what so interesting.
I find French women incredibly effortless and spontaneous - like a breath of fresh spring air. Simply irresistible!
On my hunt for everything French I came across the  book by Ines de la Fressange "Parisian Chic". The book is beautiful and it is a pleasure to simple hold it in your hand. But it is so much more that just a pretty cover, Ines actually illustrated the book herself (and did a fabulous job) and managed to  deliver some witty advices.
Without further ado, lets dig in!

---OUTFITS ARE OUT
Coordination is a crime - mix it up!

---BUE-BYE BLING
Never look rich  - glitter and logos are not in style.

---EXPLORE! J'ADORE...
The Parisian loves discovering new labels, especially if they're creative and affordable priced.

---IF IT FEELS GOOD - WEAR IT
The secret of great style is to feel good in what you wear

--- WORSHIP NO IDOLS
Like the best designers, she takes inspiration from the streets

--- BEWARE OF GOOD TASTE
Some rules are meant to be broken

BRILLIANT BASICS ARE THE KEY TO A GREAT LOOK!

1. The blazer

2. The trench

3. The navy sweater

4. The tank

5. The little black dress

6. The perfect jeans

7. The leather jacket

French Romantic Wedding Dresses

Одним их лучших мест для проведения летних свадеб в легком романтически-французком стиле, конечно, являются виноградники.
